Spring Break in San Felipe 

It’s that time once again.  The perfect weather and golden rays of sun can be seen everywhere warming everyone’s spirits.  That perfect combination of energetic music, dancing, and gathering of massive amounts of college students blowing off steam can only mean one thing.  It’s Spring Break in San Felipe once again.  But why do thousands of eager party-goers each year choose this particular town (over all of the other so called hot spots) to enjoy the little bit of time they have?  It is probably for the same reason that several thousand others choose San Felipe during the very same time to partake in the celebrations of Semana Santa.

San Felipe’s unique and mystical energy seems to wash over just about everyone who comes here.  For years it has been regarded as one of the best Spring-Break destinations for those attending colleges in California, Arizona, Canada, Texas and countless other states with college kids ready to party.  As spring break approaches, you can find forums in blogging websites from Sweden and other countries, where the top partying destination is San Felipe.  It would seem that the overcrowded beaches and clubs that are trying way too hard to be “in”, are giving way to a unique blend of fun…Baja style.  According to some of this years San Felipe Spring-Breakers, the reason why this town is drawing more attention is that it is completely unique, is more accessible (being located a mere 4 hour drive from San Diego’s Airport), and most importantly due to the dollar-to-peso conversion you can “party it up like a rock-star without having to have the budget of one.”

The same can be said for why countless visitors choose San Felipe to observe Semana Santa.  Semana Santa, or Holy Week, celebrates the Christian holiday of Easter and is Mexico's second most important holiday season of the year (behind only Christmas).  In other cities around the world you can see Semana Santa being observed, but it seems that nowhere else can you truly feel the spirit behind this holiday more than you can in San Felipe.

The unbelievable spirit that is created in San Felipe around this very personal holiday, just seems to bring to life the true meaning of Semana Santa.  Since Mexico is nearly 90 percent Catholic, this religious holiday takes on a special meaning to those who celebrate it.  It runs from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. 

Spring is in the air!

We pause for a moment as we start to enter yet another beautiful home on our tour of one of the best communities we have seen in San Felipe.  This will be the fourth home today that the nice sales representative has shown us so far.  My wife and I look at each other as to say “Did he just say the price we think he did?”  Later, we laugh as we realize the choices we are left with.  We can either buy that huge home with the view of the beach and ocean that is several thousand dollars under what we were looking to spend.  Or, we can get the one with the view of that magical San Felipe sunset right from our living room every night…that is also several thousand dollars under what we were looking to spend.

This seems to be the overall scenario for countless people looking to buy their dream home, or second home at Mi Casa del Mar at La Hacienda located in the south beach area of San Felipe.  The two words that most describe the real estate market in San Felipe right now are “opportunities galore”.  Several lots have opened up for sale in this exclusive community.  One in particular has been dramatically discounted for what will be an obviously fast sale.  Although at 20% below what they were asking, I don’t know if the word “fast” would cover it.

~Spring Promotion~

Mi Casa del Mar is pleased to offer a number of spring promotions.  This spring we have a few motivated sellers (yes Mi Casa del Mar also handles resales).  Their need for cash is your gain.

The first Spring Promotion is selling for only $82,000.  The total area of the lot is 250 square meters, and is listed at $104,900.  With an offer like this, the slogan “here today, gone tomorrow” definitely comes to mind.

Next on the list is a lot with a total of 277 square meters that has been discounted from its original price of $275,000 to $169,000.  That is a total savings of $106,000.

The next lot was listed for $275,000 is 235 square meters, and has been discounted to $179,000.  At nearly $100,000 off, that is a huge savings.

Last (but definitely not least) on the Spring Promotions list, is a huge lot that  has a total area of 346 square meters.  It is in the 3rd row of the spectacular Beachfront Community, was listed at $285,000, and is now being offered for only $222,000.

Speaking of our Beachfront Community, remember that we still have lots available in this one-of-a-kind community.  Keep in mind that, with vacationers making their plans and retirees scoping out the opportunities, these lots starting at only $285,000 will not last long.

Juanita Angulo

As the Office Assistant for Mi Casa del Mar, Juanita fills some very big shoes.  She is always ready to take on another project, or just help someone meet a deadline.  Juanita takes great pride in effectively communicating and engaging with all levels of the Mi Casa del Mar team (ranging from the Principals of the Company to the security personnel).  Juanita is immensely imaginative and resourceful, as well as being very well organized.

She maintains a high level of customer service whether she is handling incoming phone calls, or greeting and directing on-site visitors.  As if this weren’t enough to keep the average employee busy for 8 days a week, Juanita helps with the reservations and customer service at Las Casitas at La Hacienda as well.  Her winning smile and great personality is a welcome site to the rest of the Mi Casa del Mar team.
