Buenos Dias!! Welcome to the December 2004 Newsletter from Mi Casa Del Mar in the beautiful San Felipe!! The current temperature in San Felipe is 59 degrees during the day and around 50 degrees at night. Snowbirds’ Welcome Festival 2004 The Welcome Festival for the Snowbirds this year was spectacular! We enjoyed those delicious Mexican Tamales, champurrado and, of course, beer! We also enjoyed folkloric dances, raffles and presents! We had live music from a very popular Mariachi. The students from the university played the guitar and sang some American romantic songs for the ones in love. We crowned the king and queen for the best dancers. Everybody had fun and enjoyed this event that the Tourism Sub Delegation (Subdelegación de Turismo) of San Felipe organized. Almost 300 persons from different parts of the United States attended. Here we have some photographs of this event
The Mexican Revolution November 20th On November 20th, Mexico celebrates the anniversary of its Revolution. On this date, in the year 1910 the war to overthrow the dictator Porfirio Díaz, began. In San Felipe we celebrated this event, as every year, with a Mexican parade. The boys and girls from the different schools (from kindergarten to high school) participated dressed as people from the epoch of the Revolution. Enjoy your Winter Vacation at the San Felipe Marina Resort!! ![]() San Felipe Marina Resort & Spa is designed to be attractive and visually relaxing. Ask Alicia: Hi Alicia, please send me info and explain me more about the FM3 & FM2 visas!! Thanks! John A. Dear John: Thank you for your question. There are 3 different types de Visas in Mexico. They are the FMT, FM3 & FM2. The Tourist Visa, or FMT, is granted to those visiting Mexico for a period of up to six months. It costs US and can be obtained right here in San Felipe. When you have decided you want to stay for a longer period of time or are thinking of immigrating to Mexico you may request from the authorities the corresponding immigration permits, which are the FM2 and the FM3. FM3 As a holder of an FM3 you are allowed to stay in the country as a NON IMMIGRANT for a period of one year. This permit may be renewed annually. After the fifth year you may be interested in acquiring the next immigration status (IMMIGRANT) or simply continue as an FM3 holder. FM2 This document applies to the IMMIGRANTS. As an immigrant you're not a permanent resident but you are eligible to apply to become an INMIGRADO (permanent resident - for residency in Mexico). You can get a Tourist Visa at any Mexican Consulate, a travel agency, at the border or in your nearest immigration office. ASK ALICIA If you have any question or you need information about how to own land in Mexico, Ejido land, the restricted zone, fideicomiso, title insurance, FM3 visas, or any other question, please e-mail me at:

From Mi Casa Del Mar Well, 2004 has a long white beard and it has truly been a wonderful year! We will miss him dearly but we will have to say goodbye in a few weeks. But rejoice! The birth of 2005 comes with great tidings; great things are happening in sunny San Felipe and especially at Mi Casa del Mar. Our La Hacienda Estates are gaining great popularity (we even want to save a few for ourselves… but don’t tell anyone). The second model home will be completed in the first week of January. ![]() ![]() ![]() The homes that do not have a direct Sea view (although they have spectacular mountain range views that will rival Palm Springs) will enjoy a location next to the new recreation facilities. For those who always dreamed of living in a seaside community, and having a dreamy Hacienda style home, with terrace views of the bay, a private pool for their enjoyment; for those people who dream and inspire, we have a surprise.
