Welcome to the May 2004 Newsletter from Mi Casa del Mar in beautiful San Felipe!!

May is a perfect month to enjoy the sun!!!

Every May Chipy Promotions organizes a Corvina Fishing Tournament with prizes of money and gifts from various sponsors to the first five places. This a family event and last year’s winners of the first, second and fourth places were children under fourteen years of age.

EASTER WEEK

Easter week, “Semana Santa”, was April 4 to 11. San Felipe was completely full of vacationers who came to enjoy the sun and the clean beaches. All the hotels and campgrounds were full. Over 20,000 vacationers come during this week every year. Vacationers and local people join the parties at the malecon area with live music. Everyone has a lot of fun!!

SAN FELIPE'S LAND OF GIANTS

Located just ten miles south of San Felipe, less than thirty minutes by car, one finds a four square mile area which in the last decade has become an important tourist attraction and has always been Mothers Nature’s fancy. The area is the pride of the San Felipe community and a source of admiration for visitors.

This region is recognized worldwide as “The Valley of Giants”. In 1992 the Mexican government gave a sample of the 56 foot high cacti weighting several tons to the Government of Spain as a Mexican symbol of an International Exposition. The Valley of Giants is a must-see sight for the visitors to the Port of San Felipe. One can enjoy this enigmatic experience of walking among true colossuses in a natural environment where a significant population of majestic cacti measure between 33 and 56 feet high.

ALICIA PARRA: PROFILE OF MI CASA DEL MAR REPRECENTATIVE

Alicia is the newest employee at Mi Casa del Mar. She is a Mexican National and a native of San Felipe. Alicia who worked in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived for 5 years. She brings valuable talent to the team with strong office skills and a prior background in real estate office operations. We are very pleased to have her aboard.
