Welcome to the May 2005 newsletter from Mi Casa Del Mar in beautiful San Felipe!!
The current temperature in San Felipe is 86 degrees during the day and around 78 degrees at night. 
The San Felipe Rotary North came to La Hacienda for another special barbeque lunch served by the Mi Casa del Mar team.  Attendees had the pleasure of meeting at our beautiful private pool and patio in our rental bungalows which we call Las Casitas.  From there the group made a short walk to a model home where a hot and tasty lunch was ready to be served.  After enjoying delicious chicken and beef, everyone walked to Dave’s new home, Casa La Barre, to take in the surrounding views and enjoy wine or coffee with dessert.
We would like to present the newest furniture decorating our “Sheldon” model home and Casa La Barre.  All pieces are made in various parts of Mexico, mostly in Guadalajara area of Jalisco and from Ensenada, Baja.  We are really pleased with the look and comfort.  Please come by and find out for yourself!  We can offer similar packages for your new home.

Hi Alicia,
I may lease 4 lots approximately 25 miles south of town. We would sign 5 year leases that would be renewable every 5 years. If I were to build a nice home on these lots, what are my assurances that I will always be able to renew the leases and not lose the home?

Dear Fred,
The first thing that I recommend you do is see an attorney that can advise you about the contract that you are going to sign.  It is possible that the contract stipulates that the lease may be renewed every 5 years, but that does not obligate the land owner to do so. 
Building on leased land is not secure and may not be a good investment because even a really nice house can be difficult to sell.  I think that it is better if you buy a lot (not lease, but get your own title).  You may even end up spending more money leasing a property than buying one.

Great Balls of Fire! San Felipe’s hot climate is here ladies & gentlemen.
